"Taking care of healthy moms to have healthy babies"

What we do....
"It takes a village"

We are a perinatal multi-cultural community based volunteer organization who work primarily with African American women using the Sister-Friend  table model.  The San Diego International Birthing Project provides the direction, support and advocacy necessary for pregnant women and families  to obtain healthcare, social services, prenatal and postnatal  education  along with pregnancy prevention programs. The main objective is to help prevent infant mortality, and maternal mortality. The services continue from the beginning of pregnancy to 12 months after baby is born. Our sister friends are committed to supporting our little sisters through the beautiful journey of birthing  new life. We are the new underground railroad of the 21st century. "It takes a village".
